Cutting-Edge Strategies to Affiliate Marketing

By: Admin

Affiliate marketing is a method of promoting web businesses (merchants/advertisers) in which an affiliate (publisher) is rewarded for every visitor, subscriber, customer, and/or sale provided through his/her efforts.

The major goal of affiliate marketing is to promote affiliate programs effectively and capture your visitor’s attention. Most important part in affiliate marketing is to convince people to buy products you are promoting. What you need in the first place for a good affiliate marketing campaign is a good lead capture page and knowing your visitors.

What Affiliate Marketing Requires?

One of the most basic needs for anyone doing business online is getting traffic to your website. After all, if people don’t visit your site, it doesn’t matter how fantastic your product is, because you’re not going to have the chance to tell them. There are several sources from where you can get traffic. These are:-

  • Search engines
  • Pay-per-click
  • Text link ads
  • Banner ads etc.

It all depends on how much committed you are to your online business. Paid traffic also requires you to have good marketing budget. On the other hand, organic search engine traffic requires lots of trial and testing methods.

However, organic traffic is not guaranteed. If your website is well established and have good Page Rank you can expect your website to rank quite well for demanding keywords. But new website struggles to rank. Considering several sources of website traffic has become very essential for affiliate marketers.

Article Marketing to Promote Affiliate Programs

Writing articles will increase your traffic to 100%. Writing short, targeted articles and distributing them to the far corners of the Web is an incredibly effective way to boost your rankings in the search engines, increase your website traffic, and establish your credibility. With articles you can promote your affiliate products quite freely. Although, most article directories do not allow affiliate links within article body but they do allow links in resource box. Here is what you need for good articles:

  • Use WordTracker to build a list of keywords related to your business. Ideally your keywords will have a good number of people searching for them, but not too many sites optimized for them.
  • Write a short, informative article for each of your top keywords. The keyword you are highlighting should appear in the title and in the first 90 characters of your article. And it can’t hurt to plug it into the last paragraph as well.
  • Write a short, credibility-building “About the Author” blurb that you can tag onto the end of your articles and make sure you include a link back to your website.
  • Submit your articles to directory sites with a high Google PageRank.
  • Repeat weekly or monthly for best results.

How to Evaluate Affiliate Marketing

By: Deepti Jain

Affiliate marketing is revenue sharing between online advertisers/merchants and online publishers/salespeople, whereby compensation is based on performance measures, typically in the form of sales, clicks, registrations, or a hybrid model.

Affiliate marketing is about connecting buyers and sellers and rewarding those that facilitate the connections.

It is Pay for Performance!
Benefits of affiliate marketing include the potential for automating much of the advertising process (accepting & approving applications, generating unique sales links, tracking & reporting of results) and payment only for desired results (sales, registrations, clicks).

In a few short years, affiliate marketing has become a significant force in how commerce on the web occurs. Thousands of merchants now use affiliate marketing to get business done. The model is now being flexed to drive behavior beyond mere commerce transactions.

By: Kanicen Nichathavan | Source: site-reference.com

More and More people are lured into affiliate marketing and you might be one of them. Indeed, affiliate marketing is one of the most effective means of generating a full-time income through the Internet. It’s a fair deal between the merchandiser and his affiliates as both benefit from each sale materialized. Like in other kinds of business, a great deal of the profits in affiliate marketing depends on the affiliate’s advertising, promoting and selling strategies. Everyday, as affiliate marketing industry expands, competition heightens as well so an affiliate marketer must be creative enough to employ unique and effective ways to convince potential buyers to purchase or avail of the products and services offered.

Compared to traditional advertising practices, affiliate programs are more effective, risk-free and cost-efficient. But why do many people still fail in affiliate marketing? There are a lot of reasons and a lot of areas in the program to look into. The most critical aspect in the affiliate program is advertising. Many affiliate marketers fail in this aspect because they lack hard work, which is the most important thing in affiliate marketing and in all other kinds of business as well. Although it pays to be lucky, you cannot merely rely on it. Affiliate marketing isn’t as simple as directing customers to the business site. If you want to earn big, of course, you have to invest time and great amount of hard work in promoting the products. As earlier mentioned, the competition is very high and customers nowadays are very wise, too. After all, who doesn’t want to get the best purchase—that is, to pay less and get more in terms of quantity and quality.
