Draw Your Dreams with Google SketchUp
Google SketchUp is software that allows you to create and present 3D models of anything like house, killer robots, furniture, trees, abstract art — anything. It can be used by users of all different skill levels, from the dabbler to the professional. Architects and engineers use it to design buildings and other structures. Google SketchUp is free to download and use, though if you will be using the program for professional purposes, you may end up purchasing the more featureful Pro version. There’s also a version for educators to use in the classroom. Whichever version you chose, the first step is to install it. SketchUp is easy to learn, it comes in free and Pro versions, and it’s more fun than a houseful of clowns. You can use it to build models for Google Earth, too.
To install and run this google sketchup, make sure that your system meet following requirements:
The program is supported on Windows 2000, XP and Vista and Mac OS X 10.4.1+ and 10.5+. You’ll also need to have the latest version of QuickTime or MediaPlayer.
Confirm that you have met all the hardware requirements. Most importance is having a video card that is 100% OpenGL compliant with the latest driver installed. Additionally it’s recommended that your system have 2GB of RAM and 400 to 500MB available disk space.
