PPC Advertising – It Really Works Well!

By : Admin

One of the most effective and popular ways to get traffic to the websites is Online PPC advertising. PPC advertising, is also known as pay-per-click advertising and it is the way through which website owners can get targeted visitor traffic to their websites without having to stretch their budgets too far.

The benefit of using PPC advertising is that you only pay your bid on a key word or key phrase if customers click on the link to your ad in the search engine results. The more your ad is clicked on, the more you pay. The overall goal with any PPC advertising campaign is to get website traffic and if you are paying more, you are getting more visitors to your website.

There are some important things about pay-per-click advertising campaign. First, it is very important that you choose the keywords that are best suited to your particular web site. PPC advertising can be a very successful marketing tool when used correctly, but you must maximize the efficiency of your ads in order for it to work well for your business. Pay-per-click advertising can be used as your only method of online advertising, or it can be used in conjunction with various other forms of advertising.

There are basically two forms of PPC advertising. These are:

  • First, ads spread throughout the entire Internet. These may be obvious or can be more effectively merged into the site construction - they offer a short blurb describing your business and a link to your website.

  • Second, paid search engine rankings. This strategy allows customers searching for your particular keywords to find you at the top of the search engine listing, even if your site ranking wouldn’t normally place you there otherwise.

There are many ways to get your web site seen online. This type of advertising makes sense to people who want to make sure that they are only paying for results, and not pre-paying for something that may or may not prove beneficial. This is where pay-per-click advertising works best for website owners; you only pay when someone clicks on your website through the search engine.

The great thing about PPC advertising is that you only pay a certain amount when someone clicks on your ad link when it comes up in the search engine. PPC advertising is a win-win situation!

If you are trying to get more exposure for your website you really should take a serious look at PPC advertising. It has proven over the last couple of years to be one of the most effective marketing tools in the business. It has been estimated that millions of dollars are paid out per year for PPC advertising, proving that it really has a place in online advertising. PPC advertising works because people respond to it.

Pay-per-click advertising is simply genius, no matter what side of the business you are on. It works because if people don’t find all of the info they need in one particular place they will then click on the links on that page. Also, people trust web pages that provide good content, so they assume that the links on the page are worth clicking. All around PPC advertising works because it is set up to work! This is a truly flawless advertising plan.

If you’re looking to increase your online presence, find new customers, sell more products or simply make your brand known, PPC advertising may be right for you. With careful thought, pay-per-click advertising can be both profitable and beneficial for your online business.

Content Sites, Mini-Sites and Search Engines

By : Nidhi Gupta

Most of the frustration some Internet marketers feel when it comes to search engines stems from a lack of understanding of the role and objectives of their sites, and of what search engines can do for them. Some people expect organic search engine results to place their sites at the top, and deliver traffic and sales overnight. Organic search results, however, don’t work like that. They are a reflection of how relevant a site is to a certain topic.

Relevancy is not accomplished in a few days or weeks. With search engine technology evolving quickly, it is becoming increasingly difficult to use unnatural linking patterns to “fool” search engines into believing that a site is relevant.

Techniques like link exchanges or link renting are not very effective any more. Search engines now favor one way links developed over time. Links from guestbooks or blog comments are nowadays heavily discounted or not counted at all.

What this means is that achieving good organic search engine rankings is a long term proposition, usually performed by building a useful and content rich site that people want to link to. Content sites are basically narrowly-focused sites that offer a large number of useful resources or a unique perspective on a certain topic.

On the other hand, mini-sites, which are basically long sales letters with no outbound links except for a “Purchase Now” button, aren’t likely to get a lot of inbound links, and therefore are not well suited to achieve high organic search engine rankings. Mini-sites, however, are your best bet to achieve short term sales results using pay per click
advertising, like Google Adwords or Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture). To generate sales with this approach you just need to find a profitable niche or product, a well crafted ad that can deliver a high click through rate of targeted traffic, and a purposely designed well written mini-site landing page or sales letter to send that traffic to.

Many Internet marketers expect to get this kind of results from their content sites through organic search engine placement, without understanding that the role of a content site is not to sell but to “pre-sell”. By offering useful articles, reviews and resources, sprinkled with a few, well chosen affiliate products links, you will educate your customers, who will then buy your recommended products based on the trust and rapport you’ve been able to build.

It is not hard to infer that, while it may be possible to profit from a product or topic that you don’t necessarily care about by using pay per click advertising, it is virtually impossible to achieve high organic search results and effective pre-selling through a content site if you really don’t enjoy the subject. Building a content site just to achieve organic search results is a losing proposition, since it is people who will ultimately buy your products. If you don’t feel a strong connection with your topic and your site, you can’t expect your visitors to feel it either, which will make it difficult or impossible to forge with them the kind of bond that will make them trust your recommendations and buy your products.

In summary, build a content site about a topic you really enjoy, that addresses your readers’ needs, optimize it for the search engines, and be ready to hang in there for the long haul if you want to achieve success. If you want immediate results, rather than obsessing with organic search engine results, you will be better off by focusing your energies on finding a profitable product, building an effective mini-site landing page, and learning how to craft pay per click ads that produce high click through rates of targeted, profitable traffic.
