Mini Sites- Way to Increase Internet Sales
By: Admin
In case you are not familiar with mini sites, let me start with an introduction: A mini site, as the name suggests, is a small web site that entails a narrow subject focus or a few pages which are usually a section in the larger web site however, it has its separate entity.
With the rising competition in the market innovative marketers are searching for new ways to make impressions on their Internet customers. And of course, Mini Sites has to offer a lot! It is a site focused on a single topic, product or service that is an adjunct to the corporate Web site.
Mini-sites come in different flavors but all have one significant element in common. Each site is very tightly focused upon selling a single product or service. No Flash. No graphics. No links out. No banners or advertising of any kind. Nothing that could detract from the purpose of the site and the purpose is sale!
Mini sites do not have any outbound link. It offers only two options; either to buy or click on the back button to quit, nothing else!
“In a way, the emergence of the mini-site is an indication of how the Web is maturing as a medium,” says Len Muscarella, President of Interactive Media Associates. “People used to approach Web sites like they had to be the Sears Catalog. Now they’re getting sophisticated enough to see that comprehensive isn’t always better. Mini-sites can serve a useful branding and selling function.”
Mini Sites are simple (but powerful) one or two page web sites that sell a product — usually, an infoproduct. These apparently harmless sites, when done correctly are unstoppable money-making machines!
Mini sites can be called a perfect web business because they are quick and easy to produce. They provide instant results and have huge response rates. And, I think this could be enough to embrace the power of mini sites to sell the products online!
The opportunity of producing a focused site carries the obligation to provide the depth of information about the topic that can’t be found anywhere else. However, depth alone is not enough; it needs to be created with proper care!
Mini sites can shower money and are in a rage now, probably the major reasons are:
- That they’re easy to make,
- Quickly to make,
- Relatively inexpensive to make, and
- Highly effective - provided that you know how to make them.
But the question occurs, when does a mini site make sense? There are certain conditions:
- Where the viral content is not related to your existing site, it might make sense to use a mini-site.
- Content Will Spread Better Away From Your Domain.
- It doesn’t matter how clever your viral content is, chances are that when it’s directly attached to your company’s domain or brand, it won’t spread very well.
- Mini-sites are a great way to own another spot on the top ten results of a search engine for reputation management purposes.
- Your Domain or Brand Is diluted in social media.
As the industry moves into its next phase of Internet design, it is predictable that more and more focused mini sites will be developed to enable companies and organizations to focus on a specific message or event, with an intensity and creativity that may not be possible in their primary Web site.
However, it is noticeable that mini site should have a value, it should have a magic!
