Google Named Its Personalized Homepage As iGoogle

Google has renamed its personalized homepage into iGoogle. It has added many new facilities for users like to add some nifty Gadgets that include:

  • Framed photo slides - share photos with friends through online slides.
  • Google gram - send friends and loved ones special messages.
  • Daily Me - Twitter- like snippets?
  • Personal list - Top ten lists, gadget wish lists etc.

To help users create personalized features on iGoogle, the company introduced “Gadget Maker,” which allows any user who knows how to upload a photo and fill out a simple Web form to publish their content without knowing computer coding.Google introduced seven templates for creating personalized “gadgets”.

The company is introducing features that range from colorful new Web page designs to helping users publish their own creative content.
