Jeremy Luebke of Marketing Pilgrim discovered that Google AdWords is testing a larger and more branded Google Checkout button in AdWords results which appear above the fold. They are now placing the large button next to the above the fold ads.
Google has been running their shopping cart icons for months in AdWords results for businesses which feature Google Checkout as a payment option.
In this race, Yahoo has also introduced their labeling of Yahoo Advertisers who are Paypal merchants in their Yahoo Search Marketing ads using similar carts.

Google has added some new functionality to its Webmaster Tools at Webmaster Central that allows you to remove certain URLs from Google’s search results. This functionality removes the specfied files from Google’s search results NOT from Google’s index.
But the most important point is that you can only remove URLs of sites for which you have verified ownership. The option for this is labeled “URL Removals” and is located under the “Diagnostics” tab and gives you four options.
- Individual URLs
- An entire directory
- Your entire site
- A cached copy of a Google search result
These removals will be effective for 6 months. You also have the option of undoing the removal.
