GENERATE LEADS WITH A SQUEEZE PAGE

By: Admin

Without leads, sales cannot be made – but getting good leads these days can be hard work – unless you know how to use a squeeze page!

First of all, let us know what is a squeeze page? A squeeze page is a webpage on which, when the visitor “lands”, he is asked to opt-in to some type of list in order to proceed further. The only option available on squeeze pages is to opt-in or leave.

A Squeeze page is not merely a web page that provides a capture form. A squeeze page’s primary purpose is to capture the information of website visitors, mainly their name and email address. Now, there are many scripts that can be used to collect information about visitors without letting them know about it, but this is not ethical, and in most cases, it violates the spam laws and privacy laws that are in effect!

Squeeze Pages are often used in conjunction with an email autoresponder to begin delivering information as soon as the visitor confirms their email address. Promising information upon completion of confirming their email address has proven to be an effective method of increasing opt-ins using Squeeze Pages.

To make an effective squeeze page, you would like to provide information that interests your readers and makes them want to be directed to more information, or to receive information via email. The visitor will be required to provide their name and email address for this information. This also works well when you have a freebie to give away, such as an e-book or free report. You can require the visitor to enter their email and name, and agree to receive information from you in the future in order to get the free download.

When setting up the squeeze page it is important to keep the squeeze page as simple as possible. The only thing contained on the page should be the signup link. After all the goal of this page is to have visitors sign up for your mini series!

Try to keep the content on the Squeeze Pages to a minimum. The goal of the page is to obtain the visitors email address and additional information could distract the user or cause them to “Click-Away” to a different website. Navigation and hyperlinks are almost always absent from typical squeeze pages. The absence of links is used to focus visitors’ attention on one choice: register for the email list or leave the site.

A squeeze page, generally, has some enticing bullets on it, and does a thorough job of describing what one will be able to access after you enter data. The enticing offer on the squeeze page, that has the visitor salivating to get at what’s behind that “door,” is essential.

Squeeze pages often experience leakage because many visitors know how to view the page’s html source code, and locate the URL of the follow-on webpage. So they can just enter that URL to access what’s behind the door!

A good way to prevent this type of leakage is to encrypt the URL for that follow-on webpage. Another way to do this is to EMAIL what was promised on the squeeze page. So, if the visitor doesn’t provide an email address or provides a fake email address, they don’t get to enjoy what was promised on the squeeze page.

With a squeeze page you will take your email marketing campaign to a completely different level!

Your squeeze page should be build with only one goal in mind; add subscribers to your email list. People visiting your squeeze page should only have two options, subscribe to your newsletter or leave!

The first and most important part of your squeeze page should be a FREE give away. It might be a free report you have written or a free e-book which you think might prove valuable to your visitors. Make sure that it won’t be a product which has been around for ages; it has to have a certain value!!

The next is heading. It is the most important for it is the first contact point with your website’s visitors. This is where you must captivate them with an attention grabbing headline which will compel them to continue reading your text. Your headline must be clear of what you are presenting!

The body text is also very important because this is where you compel your web site visitors to opt-in for more information. It is crucial to reveal to them how the product or service you offer can satisfy a need and desire!

Your squeeze page is not going to be lengthy so you’ll want to focus on the top three to five things your market is hungry for and present to them the answer or solution that will satisfy their hunger.

And last but not the least, action phrase! Use an action phrase that is written in their point of view to persuade them on a personal level. Instead of using the word submit or subscribe, you’ll find your conversion rate will rise if you use an action phrase that will express how your visitors will benefit if they click on the button.

The squeeze page will help you with building your e-mail list at a very fast rate. From the moment a person finds your site they will subscribe to your list. There will be some people who decline but, most will want to subscribe. Remember that a user can unsubscribe at any time! As long as your site is clean and has a privacy policy, you should not have a problem gaining and keeping subscribers.

Pre-Selling through a Squeeze Page is a very effective tactic that almost always pays off!

Some true squeeze pages have been known to have conversion rates of 30-60% and some even higher! The conversion rates mentioned here are the percentages of visitors that choose to opt-in to a mailing list by filling in the form fields available.

Consider adding squeeze pages to your marketing arsenal today. Certainly it fits perfectly!
