By: Rohit Bhargava | Source: webpronews.com

Whether you believe in karma or not, making your blog a success often has a lot to do with a series of seemingly disconnected events. Every post you make, person you contact or comment you leave adds to the sum total of your efforts in the blogosphere.

Building relationships is important in any industry, but blog karma is the idea that what you do and how you behave will ultimately have an effect on you directly or indirectly. Getting The Most Out Of Google Adsense

By: Agloco Hype | Source: site-reference.com

If you look closely you’ll notice that on almost every single blog out there you’ll see something known as Google Adsense, If your unfamiliar with them and don’t know how they work, its rather quiet simple, you take some code place it in your blog and from there Ads are displayed from thousands of publishers who use Google Adworks and when someone clicks on one of those ads you make money.

If I had to guess I would say that at least 70 to 80 percent of people who use Google Adsense have no real clue how to maximize their profit with them, most people just set up some ads and place them on their site and don’t do anything else, if you are one of these people then you are not making as much as you should be by doing this and I’m going to explain some ways of how you can improve your profit with them.

First I want to point out that every blog will generate different amounts of money by using Google Adsense, this is because the Ads come from people who are paying Google Adwords to display them and some people pay more then others, so a blog about the sky might not pay as much then a blog about technology because the technology sector is much more competitive then the sky and people will pay more to have their ads displayed.

MapQuest : Send Maps to Cell Phone

By: Loren Baker | Source: searchenginejournal.com

One reason I use Yahoo Maps is its ability to send directions to the mobile phone via text messaging, a feature which I along with many others, would like to see Google Maps install.

MapQuest has taken the Maps2Phone service one step ahead with its new “Send to Cell” service that lets users create detailed driving directions and maps then send them to any web enabled cell phone.

MapQuest’s “Send to Cell” features include :

  • Users can create maps and driving directions utilizing advanced routing options (shortest time, shortest distance, avoid tolls, avoid highways), reverse directions and multi-point routing from the MapQuest.com site, and send the complete information to their cell phone.
  • They can access the 15 million points of interest, places, driving directions and business listings from the MapQuest database and deliver the results to their mobile device, with “right-sized” maps and other mapping capabilities, including pan and zoom functions.
  • The service automatically detects if a user is a MapQuest® Mobile subscriber and delivers the best browsing experience.
  • Users can easily access the maps and directions sent to their phones via a text message containing a URL link.
  • MapQuest is not charging a fee for the service, although mobile carriers may charge a text message fee. MapQuest is however looking at different options for monetizing the service through mobile advertisements.
