Google adds link reporting tools for webmasters

By: Peeyush | Source: googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com

Google released yesterday a Webmaster Central tool that allows site owners to view and even download thousands of links to their sites.

"Webmasters have been wanting more comprehensive link data from us for a long time," said Vanessa Fox, product manager for Google Webmaster Central. "We created Webmaster Central to communicate better with webmasters and we take their feedback very seriously. We have been looking at ways to provide this data and are ecstatic to make it available.

We’ve extended our support for querying links to your site to much beyond the link: operator you might have used in the past. Boost Your Content

It goes without saying that you cannot just have a website with the basic "Home", "FAQ", "About Us", and "Contact" pages. Those represent grease on the wheel, so to speak. Having just those pages will make for one terribly boring site, while omitting them will make for a choppy site where people are bound to get stuck without these important navigation tools. Always include these whenever possible!
