Wiki is getting more and more popular

The reason for this development can be explained by an efficient communication. You can easily allow members to share info and collaborate on web sites. Wiki is a program which supports a connection to other people. Provided they work well it will become an experienced and winning information community.

But where is the difference to blogging? Arent blogs fulfilling the same purpose? Compared to blog wikis are focused web sites compiled and constantly edited by a dedicated group while blogs only enable people to post a regular chronicle of their thoughts and interests on the net.

Within teams it is very efficient to use wiki as a collaboration platform because emails have the character of being endless back-and-forth exchanges. But in addition to that, wiki is very easy to use and above all for free. In contrast to that IBMs Lotus Notes costs and used to be very complex. In particular in group communication the common platform should be easy to use. This is the main condition to ensure efficient and successful team communication.
